The Ouachita Telegraph (Monroe, LA) Aug. 29, 1879 reports that the Morehouse Bluffers of Bastrop defeated the Hamburg, Arkansas base ball club 19-18.
Bastrop LA (pop. about 13,000) is near the LA-AR border and about 80 miles NW of Vicksburg MS.
