New York Clipper, Sept. 19, 1863: "The Hawkeye Club of Dubuque, Iowa, is a new organization under the regulations of the National Associatyion. More recently, another club has been organized called the Key City Club, which continued, give evidence that civilization is gradually progressing westward."
