The Boston Evening Transcript, Sept. 22, 1858, reports that the Olympic of Boston will play the Warren of Roxbury Friday (Sept. 24th) "upon the latter's ground, near Way's Woods, Roxbury..."
The Boston Journal July 9, 1867, reports on a match game at Miller's Field, Roxbury, on July 3rd, between the Norfolks of Roxbury and the Walnuts [presumably of Roxbury], won by the former 40-17.
