The members of the St. Peter Base Ball Club are requested to meet at the Court House Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, "sharp" for business, after which they will proceed to the ball ground for a game.

Note: Friday would have been May 8th....



1870 population of St. Peter wasa 2,124 and its high mark was in 2010 with 11,196.

It is quite likely that further research will uncover a base ball club in St. Peter in 1867 or earlier.....
