The Northfield paper cited below gives a game recap of a game played in Faribault the previous Saturday (June 20, 1868) between the Minnehaha Club of Northfield and the Seabury Club of Faribault.

Minnehahas won 71-59, which leads one to believe both clubs may have organized only shortly before, and didn't have much practice or game experience.
