The Kansas City Star, June 4, 1908, ran a reminiscence article headlined: "We had a great team in '66. The Antelopes then were the pride of the base ball fans." The Kansas City Journal, Oct. 22, 1893, lists the Antelopes as the first baseball club in that city.
