The Harrisburg Patriot, Oct. 18, 1866, has a long article on the Pennsylvania state base ball convention. Among the many teams mentioned as sending delegates was the Washington BBC of Reading.

Reading PA (1860 pop. about 23,000; 1870 pop. about 34,000)is about 50 miles NW of Philadelphia.
