The Harrisburg Patriot, Oct. 18, 1866 has a long article on the state baseball convention. Among the teams sending delegates was the Whangdoodle BBC of Shippensburg.

Shippensburg PA (1900 pop. about 3,200) is about 30 miles N of Hagerstown MD in southern PA.
