The Memphis Avalanche, December 18, 1866 reports the formation of the Enterprise Base Ball Club last Saturday, with 22 members. Same January 10, 1867 reports the formation of the Pride of the South Base Ball Club. Same February 17, 1867 says a game between the Enterprise and the Pride of the South Base Ball Club will be held February 18. The Memphis Appeal, February 24, 1867 reported on a match between the Athletics and the Atlantic Base Ball Clubs.
