Roseburg, Oregon, May 7, 1867 A base-ball club has been recently organized at this place, with Hon. S. F. Chadwick President; H. H. Gale, Secretary, and James Walton, Umpire. Weekly meetings are held at the Roseburg Academy, and the primary steps have been taken for improving the undeveloped muscle of Roseburg in good earnest.
