He studied for the bar while working at Stoples & Goddard and Edward E. and H.B. Cowles, on Wall Street, in New York City. His son, Stephen J. Chadwick, moved to Washington State, became a lawyer and eventually served as Chief Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court. | ||
