The Arkansas Gazette provided roster information on Little Rock clubs in 1875. Bruce Allardice used local census data to trace local origins.
He reports that the "Phenix" team, headed by Peyton D. English (Alabama-born) seemed to comprise older men, some of whom were southern-born and some northern-born.
