The Portland Oregonian, July 7, 1875, reports that on the 4th at Astoria, the Astoria BBC beat the Fort Stevens club.
Same, Aug. 9, 1875 says the Astoria club played the Pioneer of Portland "near the Custom House" in Astoria.
Astoria OR (1870 pop about 650; 188 pop. about 2,800) is about 90 miles NW of Portland on the Columbia River.
