The Gettysburg "Adams Sentinel" Aug. 7, 1866, says there was a game at New Oxford Aug. 4, Young America of Hanover 16, Juvenile of New Oxford 17.
New Oxford PA (current pop. about 1,800) is about 35 miles S of Harrisburg and about 15 miles N of the MD border.
